The European Va’a & Surfski Championship will be held at Gilglio island, some 20 km off the coast of Tuscany. You reach the Island by ferry from Porto S. Stefano and the nearest airports are those of Rome and Pisa. Rome-Fiumicino Airport is closest, 140 km. (about two hours) away from Porto S. Stefano
The organisation will provide the athletes from abroad, who can not carry their own canoe , with rental skis (Iron-Steel). These skis are limited and will be assigned in order of entry to the race.
